The Sanatorium...

The place I visited last was a former sanatorium, situated in the French-talking part of Belgium. It was build in 1955 and it's activities stopped in the mid 80's due to being non profitable anymore. At it's best days the sanatorium had space for 150 beds (for children in the early stage of TBC)  but the maintenance costs were too high. A plan was made to make high end appartments here but there is only rot and decay. But if you enter and look for light in the darkness you will be rewarded. What that firetruck is doing there is, mind you, still a questionmark...
