This place was a sanatorium build in 1933 and was used as a place to combat TBC. During the second WW our German friends took control of the place and turned it into a "Centre de séjour surveillè", a nice name for a camp where approximately 1500 persons were interned.
In 1946 the fight against TBC starts here again but the building we visited, "Les Peupliers", closed its doors in 1975. Since then nature started regaining the place.
